Group Therapy

Group Therapy is one of the most powerful and dynamic of the psychodynamic therapies.

With an experienced group therapist conducting the group,

Group Therapy can be a powerfully rich therapeutic process, creating deep and long lasting personal growth. Instead of simply talking about the interpersonal challenges that confront you in your life, you have the opportunity to explore those challenges directly as they arise in the therapy group.

With the thoughtful guidance of an experienced group therapist,

you are invited to explore the ways in which these habitual patterns undermine your sense of yourself. Safety, acceptance, courage, outrageous spontaneity and gentle movement out of your comfort zone - these are all part of the experience of growth in group.

In Group Therapy, lifetime patterns of relationship

with family, friends and colleagues become visible in the relationships present in the group. Surrounded by others who are working on similar issues, and who have come to know and care about you, you can understand and heal the deep sources of your pain, and begin the adventure of new paths.

After over 20 years of leading therapy groups in the Burlington area,

I believe there's nothing like group therapy for reworking your life and becoming the person you long to be.

If you are interested in joining one of my therapy groups,

call to schedule an informational session. The session will give you the chance to explore with me whether group is the right form of therapy for you. There is no charge for this session.

I have been conducting therapy groups since 1987.

I am certified by the International Board for Certification of Group Psychotherapists as a Certified Group Therapist (CGP). I am a graduate of the Washington School of Psychiatry National Group Psychotherapy Institute and have been a member of the faculty of the American Group Psychotherapy Association (AGPA) Annual Conference in 2008, 2011, 2012 and 2014. In 2013 the AGPA awarded me one of their highest honors by electing me as a Fellow.
